Who can join Wise Kids Savings Club?
Our Wise Kids Savings Club is open to any child ages 0-12 who lives, works, worships or attends school in our service area (Lafayette, Acadia, Iberia, St. Martin or Vermilion parishes)

How do I open an account for my child?
A parent, guardian, or grandparent can open an account for a minor by applying online or visiting a branch. A minimum deposit of $25 is required to open the account. The parent, guardian, or grandparent must provide their driver’s license, social security number and the child’s social security card at the time of account opening.

Is there a minimum balance required to keep my child's account open?
Our Wise Kids Savings Club accounts have a small minimum balance requirement of $5 to maintain the account.

Does my child have to be present to earn rewards?
We would love for your child to be with you when making deposits as much as possible to reinforce the benefits of saving. However, if your child isn’t able to visit in person, they may still receive rewards as long as their passbook is present.

I have payroll deduction set up with money going into my child’s account monthly. Does that qualify for rewards?
It does not. Rewards are for in-branch transactions only.

What happens if my child loses their tracking booklet?
We would be happy to replace your child’s booklet upon their next visit to the credit union free of charge. However, we won’t be able to replace any previous records of their rewards so they will need to start over. We recommend keeping it in a safe place!

How will I be notified of future youth events?
We announce the majority of our events via email and social media. Be sure to verify that you have a current email address on file with us and follow us on social media, Facebook and Instagram, so you’re among the first to learn about special events for you and your child!
